Suicide is Preventable
Jay Walkers inspires individuals to do their part to prevent it.
According to the World Health Organization, suicide is preventable with timely and evidence-based interventions, many of which are available at a low cost.
At Jay Walkers, we envision a world where suicide is no longer a major public health concern. We inspire our global community to take steps with us to achieve this vision.
Our global community will passionately fundraise to support initiatives that work, while also proving that collective personal action can make a difference.

Our Plan
Goals
Jay Walkers will empower individuals to do what they can to prevent suicide. We begin with a simple invitation to join the Jay Walkers Challenge. We follow up with education to deepen participants' engagement in the mission of suicide prevention.
First Steps
Through the Jay Walkers Challenge, we engage individuals initially with a task that is an easy “Yes!” – Join a team and work together to raise funds, start conversations, and complete 800,000 steps during the month of September.

Next Steps
The Challenge sets the stage for individuals to contemplate their relationship to and attitudes about suicide. Then Jay Walkers provides opportunities for individuals to take steps to prevent suicide through financial contributions and/or personal action.

The Destination
Jay Walkers participants take an active role in supporting and promoting evidence-based efforts to prevent suicide. As we grow our community of activists, we grow the societal suicide safety net and reduce suicide numbers worldwide.
The Jay Walkers Experience
Jay Walkers participants are invited to grow in their engagement with the mission to end suicide. Via the Jay Walkers Challenge in September and additional campaigns throughout the year, we foster within participants a sense of community, a connection to the cause, and a desire to take action to prevent suicide.
