Be inspired to raise funds during this year's Jay Walkers Challenge! Peer-to-peer fundraising from the Jay Walkers Challenge will strengthen the societal suicide safety net by directly funding evidence-based suicide prevention measures.
Our current strategy for selecting suicide prevention measures is informed by our desire to set forth a comprehensive, realistic approach to suicide prevention. At this stage, we feel strongly that we must direct our support towards measures that address both current needs for crisis intervention and upstream prevention.
For this year's Challenge, every $600 raised represents 1-2 training grants!
In addition, every constituents will be encouraged to complete training to bolster their own suicide knowledge and intervention skills.
Read below for the specifics of the programs that 2025 proceeds will make possible!
Clinician Training
To address the shortage of clinicians trained in suicide prevention, Jay Walkers will offer no-cost virtual trainings conducted by an industry expert in evidence-based, suicide-specific intervention.

We have partnered with SAVE.org to offer “One Step Ahead,” a self-led suicide prevention gatekeeper training. This free, one-hour course offers our participants an introduction to the signs of suicide and guidance on how to support someone close to you who may be slipping into crisis.

Teacher Training
In an effort to bolster upstream prevention measures, Jay Walkers has partnered with the Paxis Institute to offer no-cost virtual trainings for teachers in The PAX Good Behavior Game® classroom management system. This method is proven to improve students’ self-regulation and reduce suicide risk later in life.
